Adam and Eve Pattern

Market Terms

We don't know everything about the markets.  We're just devoted to learning.  Taken from those smarter than ourselves, here's how we define Adam and Eve Pattern.

A lesser known potential bullish chart pattern made up of a sharp V-shaped bottom (the “Adam” bottom) and a second, longer-term cup-shaped bottom (the “Eve” bottom).  This creates a double bottom pattern that eventually compresses into a tight trading range after the completion of the second bottom.  In many instances, after the completion of the pattern, the trend will break upwards, with a large upswing after the Eve bottom.
